Just beginning researching my Sanish roots. Have photo of Great Great Grandmother in Havana, 1887 and her son Miguil Guilluame DeSoto from Miami. I think my dad told me Garcias had candy factory in Spain and sugar cain plantation in Cuba. My Grandmother was born in Key West, (Rose DeSoto Gilliam). My father is SGM William Patrick DeSoto ret. Special Forces and Delta. Recently have met uncle Milton DeSoto's four children, Jim, central FL, Doug, Miami/Charlotte, Sharon DeSoto Zitnik, Hileah and Terry. Also a Rober Gilliam and Ptricia DeSoto Glenn, and McSwains. Any pointers on genealogy research appreciated. Andy
