I have been told I have a great great grandmother who was a full blood Choctaw. I don't know where exactly she fits but the family always referred to her as the Indian Princess.

My grandfather was Albert DeSoto and lived around St. Maurice in Winn Parish. He had a brother, Gilbert, and three sisters, Edwina, Ella, and Elvira. Albert was married to Lillie Antee and had one daughter and three sons.

My great grandfather's name was Jewbear (sp?) DeSoto. He was married to Edwina Gorham(?).

Fermin (Firman) DeSoto is in there somewhere but I don't exactly know how or what relationship existed between Jewbear and Fermin. Fermin lived in Natchitoches around 1840 and was known to my grandparents as "marrying Sam" because he was married at least three times.
