I have a copy of Katie DeSoto's first book on the DeSoto and related families. Do you have a
copy of revised or second edition of the DeSoto Family Book? We visited at her home back in 1997
and she didn't have a copy at hand on her revised book.

My mother's mother was Agnes DeSoto, daughter of Alcide Valcour (Chunk) &
Felonice Adella (Laffitte) DeSoto of Mansfield, Desoto Parish, LA. Agnes married
Blanchard Goldsby WILLIAMS in Mansfield, LA in 1917.

Alcide Valcour's parents were : John Valcour & Marie Octavie (RAMBIN) DeSoto.

I've been to the Carmel Cemetery several times and taken down head-stone info. I was the secretary
of the DeSoto Reunion for several years until it was discontinued following the death of Marion DeSoto.
He was one of the sons of George Elliot DeSoto. George is still alive (as of 2001) and is a younger
brother of my grandmother, Agnes (DeSoto) WILLIAMS.
