i AM LOOKING FOR PROOF OF THE PARENTS OF BENJAMIN FRANKLIN DESPAIN WHO WAS KNOWN AS THE TEXAS BRIDGE BUILDER. He came to Texas to claim a land grant from his cousin RANDOLPH DeSpain (who was killed at Goliad). This Benjamin F. DeSpain brought his wife NARCISSA and his three daughters with him into Texas: Martha, Mary Ann, and Julia. Julia DeSpain later grew up and married Jacob J. Nidever. They were my GG Grandparents. Jacob died in Civil War at Corinth, MS.

There is now proof that TWO Benjamin DeSpains lived in Texas at the same time. BENJAMIN LYNN AND BENJAMIN FRANKLIN. It is the proof of the latter's parents I'm seeking. I believe them to be John D. DeSpain and wife C.Daniels but would like to hear from other relatives to confirm this.
