I came across a reference to this Henry, b. 8 Dec. 1789, in Doherty's "Settlers of Beekman Patent," this Henry's parents were Reuben6(John5, Benjamin4, Joseph3, Jonathan2, William1) Deuel, born Dover, Dutchess County, NY 18 June 1760, d. 27 May 1827 and Amy Arnold. Reuben was a Quaker and moved to Dryden, Tompkins County in 1806. He was a shoemaker. He and Amy (Arnold) Deuel are buried in the California Cemetery in Dryden. Reuben was a descendant of the Mayflower's George Soule. Other children were Elizabeth, Lyman, Aldner, Anna, David D. and Morgan. John5 and Benjamin4 Deuel were both arrested by the Committee on Conspiracies for being suspected Loyalists during the Revolution.
