Dear Rick ~
I am a descendant of NICHOLAS SPOHN & ELIZABETH DEVENDORF. I have just found that Nicholas was in the military for the Revolutionary War. I am a DAR member and am looking for documentation on these ancstors. I descend through HANNAH SPOHN/SPOON married to CONRAD EIGHENEUR > JOHN CONRADT EYCHANER & CATHERINE BOODY (who are buried here in Ogle County, IL) > HENRY EYCHANER & JULIA MEAD. I have photos & documentation on the EYCHANER family(tombstones & portraits) but nothing on the SPOHN surname. If you would be willing to share your sources and documentation I would be most appreciative. There are 11 of us that are hoping to use NICHOLAS SPOHN as a Supplemental Patriot in the DAR, so anything you have would be wonderful. Thank you, Sharon Nordman Ogle in Ogle County, IL.
