DEVERELL family of Buckinghamshire Eng.

I am interested in learning more about the DEVERELL family of northern Buckinghamshire, England. In particular, there was a landed and influential branch around the village of Swanbourne, for which many records exist.

I descend from Ann DEVERELL (born 1771 in North Marston, Bucks.) the daughter of Robert DEVERELL (1724-1809) and Mary JAYCOCK (1735-1811). Ann was married in Swanbourne on May 31 1793 to James INWOOD (1762-1838) of Steeple Claydon, Bucks. Although James & Ann raised their family in Steeple Claydon, they returned to Swanbourne for the baptisms of their 8 children.

Good hunting....... Ben Whiting
