I descend from Henry Deverell (believed to be the son of Anthony Deverell of Queens Co., Ireland) and his wife Ann Hamilton. Family research shows that Henry was born in Queens Co. in 1798; he and Ann were married in Dublin in 1840. They came to America about 1841 and were in Jackson Co., GA by abt. 1850. They appear with their family in 1860 census records of Jackson Co. and later in 1870 census records of Whitfield Co. Both he and Ann are buried Mt. Pleasant Cem., Whitfield, Georgia. Their children were John Henry (my ancestor) b. 1843, Mary Ann b. 1845, Wm. M. b. 1846, Thomas A. b. 1850, and an infant who was born & died abt. 1854. I have further info from John Henry through daughter Fannie Viola (my grandmother) and some others. Sorry to be so late plugging into this site.
