Jocelyn,
That is the correct Deverell family. William, Eli, Edwin and Emily, along with their mother, Ann Merrett, all immigrated to the United States in the early 1870's. I don't have any further information on Mary Ann, but do have pretty complete information on the rest of the family. John Deverell, the father, was the illegitimate son of James Deverell and Elizabeth Crabb. John used the surname Crabb at his marriage to Ann Merrett but then took the surname Deverell shortly thereafter. I did find him in his father's household in one census, before his marriage. James' wife's name was Harriet, I believe.
