Hi Pat,

My great grandmothers sister Agnes Anne was born around 1900 so was the generation after your Agnes. However after talking to some of the older members of my family I have since found out that there were only about three/four strands of the Devers family in Ballina at that time, all of whom were related. I therefore think that somewhere along the line we are related. I thought if I gave you some of the information about my Agnes Anne and her family we could try and see the connection.

Agnes Anne was the daughter of Terrence Devers and Mary Brennan and was born around 1900 and was one of at least eight children. Her siblings were, Julia (my great grandmother born in 1902), Thomas, John Joe, Katie, Jimmy, Martin and Bridget. In the 1911 census, Terrence, Mary, Julia, Agnes, Thomas and James, were living at 1 Broughans lane and there was also another (related) Devers living at number three who also had a daughter called Agnes. I was hoping that you knew some of your Agnes siblings so we could try and work out together what the connection is. I am very interested about any information that you have about the Devers family in Ballina. I am also going there in a few weeks so would like to know more info so I could try and get back even further.

Any help would be appreciated

Kind Regards

Leona
