Devers in Yorkshire, England in 17c.

We have traced our Devas family back to Richard Devers of Cawood, near Selby, Yorkshire, born about 1670, married to Alice, and father of Henry and George. Henry fathered Stephen Devas ( b 1715, d 1780) from whom I descend. Devas is a variant spelling of Devers and Devars in many records of that time. Be very interested to hear from anyone also researching this period
