My grandfather, Alex Carpenter(whose mother was Judique Deville Carpenter) said his mother was Indian. I have no proof. I have seen the pictures in the Carraway Brothers home and was suppose to be Judique and one andrew Jackson Carpenter. She sure looks Indian to me, high cheek bones and all...My grandfather, Alex had the chiseled face and white hair...No proof just passed down...

Debbie, I think you have the parents of Andrew Jackson Carpenter wrong, his father was William Carpenter and his mother was Mary Hebert.
