My grandfather came from Staffordshire, his name was Robert Ford Deville. He came to Canada in time to fight in world war 1. He was born in 1889. His father was also named Robert Deville. He was wounded in the war and settled near Edmonton Alberta,Canada. They always spelled it deville. He had an aunt Jean Deville in staffordshire and they had a butchershop.
