Dear Friends, I am trying to find out about the Greatgrand parents of my mother.

Her Mother: Miriam Jestine Devonish born December, 1891 to Joshua Allen Devonish( butler of Station House Hill) and his wife Martha Alonza Devonish nee Bellamy(seamstress of the same location) (other childern include Edwin Devonish (youngest) who migrated to Panama, and Millicent Devonish(middle child) who married Archibald Tappin.

Joshua Allen Deve(o)nish was born about 1861 of Lucy Alleyne Miller and Thomas Millington Devonish in St. John, Barbados.

Her Father: Sydney Coleridge Carmichael, born Febuary 16th , 1895 to Thomas Richard Carmichael ( butler of Bank Hall) and his wife Helen Carmichael nee Stoute of the same location.

In September of 1923 Miriam Jestine Devonish and Sydney Coleridge Carmichael got married at the St Michael Cathedral, by that time
both fathers were deceased, and it is apparent that Martha Devonish may well have also been deceased in 1923. Helen Carmicheal lived quite a few years later The witnesses
were Timothy Callender and Alfred Sparrock. The other person who signed, I suppose the marriage officer was A. Shankland.

I am looking for the parents of Helen Stoute, Thomas Richard Carmichael, Thomas Millington Devonish, Lucy Alleyne Miller and Martha Alonza Bellamy.

I am also trying to find out about this piece of information told to me by Dufferin Culpepper. Eunice Culpepper(about 90 years old) is the mother of Dufferin Culpepper( about 70 years old). She was a single
parent when he was born. He carries her name. He tells me that his great-aunt, the aunt of
Eunice, a nurse Catherine Culpepper, told him that he was related to Miriam Devonish. His great uncle, his mother's uncle was Christopher Codrington Culpepper, later a head teacher in Tobago. The family it seems hail from St. John. They are It seems to that they are Moraivans.
Dufferin is a Moravian Clergyman.

Can any one help me find this information.

All assistance would be appreciated.

All the best, Jennifer
