Steve,
The only thing I know about my DeVotie family. Anthony Devotie is as far back as I have. He was born between 1824-1830 in Italy (the census records have him being born abt 1824, his pension papers says he was born 1830). He came to America in 1847, I don't know if he came alone or not. He settleted in Greene Co, TN. DeVotie is such a uncommon name, I'm sure they are all related, just finding out how. I have a copy of my Anthony's death certificate, but it doesn't have his parents name on it, just that he was born in Italy. If you find a connection, would like to know. Please keep my email address, mpofktn@aol.com.

Thank you,
Margaret Patton
Tennessee
