What happened to Ellen DEWAR, Alloa, Scotland???

Hi,

Can anyone help me with information regarding Ellen Dewar born 19 Feb 1802 in Killin, Perthshire to Archibald Dewar & Isabella McLaren?

Ellen had an illegitimate son, Alexander McDonald. He was baptised in Ardeonaig, Killin,Perthshire - son of Alexander McDonald and Helen Dewar.

Mother and son were living with Janet Carmichael (nee Dewar)sister of Ellen at the time of the 1841 census in Dunblane.

Alexander was still living with his aunt at the time of the 1851 census in Alloa, Clackmannan but Ellen wasn't. By this time she would have been 49.

Does anyone know if she married or perhaps died as I haven't managed to find any records for her after 1841.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Regards,

Heather.
