I am having difficulties finding any information about my Dewar line. I am looking for John Benjamin Dewar born abt 1864. On the census records, he is listed as being born in CA, and at times is listed as Benjamin Dewar. on his marriage certificate to Annie Eliza Dayton, he is listed as having been born in VT. His parents are listed as Constantin Dewar and Margret Bird. John Benjamin lived in NY from at least 1894. His 3 children (possibly 4, one may have died): Ann Margaret, John E., and Bertha Eliza were born in NY. John died in Long Island around 1937.
If any of this sounds familiar, I would love to hear from you. I am at a dead end.
