Mr.Mullins, So how do we make a connection since nobody posts their e-mail addresses here any more? I think I can put this picture into my files by scanning it but will need your e-mail address. He was a handsome man with a mustache. I am thinking that possibly my great great grandparents went to KS to visit him before they moved to MS in abt. 1841 for I have pictures of them from both Topeka and Salinas, KS....taken by a professional photographer. Oscar Dewees, M. D. was son of the rather famous Dr. William Potts Dewees who taught medicine in the field of midwifery and pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania in the 1820s.
I THINK my great grandfather may have had a few correspondences with this William B. Dewees but I will have to look to find them if they are here. I just could not determine who he was. I hesitate to place my address on this public post however. If you care to post yours, I will contact you. Thank you, A. B. Ponder
