The nationality is Dutch. I am curious though because my great grandmother always said the name was french and she had had a sister Annie. My g-grandmother's name was Ida May DeWees (Mathis, Robinson, Bressman) and if I have the facts correct her mother was french. We're all from Philadelphia.
