Your Abraham DeWees could be a brother to my Mary DeWees b. 1795 in Greenbriar Co.,Va. She married John Wiley Dailey in Granview, Ohio. Her father was born in Pa., and she had a younger brother named Abrham but I don't have a birthdate for him.

Mary's Father was Jane McCollum. Abraham and Jane McCollum were married in Bath Co., Va.

I believe Mary's family traces back to another DeWees family in Pa. that I have in my genealogy which goes back to the 1500's in Germany, but I can't link them up. Abraham is a very common name within this second DeWees Family.

I also have two or three generations of McCollum genealogy.
