St. Charles (Illinois) Review, Jan. 10, 1880

Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Caldwell entertained a few friends at their residence, Thursday night. It was a nice little card party that called them together. The evening hours went away rapidly, because everybody had a good time, until eleven, when all visiting feet were gathered up, and shortly after were playing practical "home sweet home" tunes on the sidewalks. There were present Mr. and Mrs. O'Brien, Mr. and Mrs. Conner, Mrs. Lindsay, Mrs. Wesley Powers, Misses Ida Sunderland and Ida Lindsay, and Dr. Tillotson and J.F. Dewey. Mr. and Mrs. C always entertain well.
This newspaper item posted as a courtesy. I am not related to nor researching this family and have no further information.
