I am looking to find information on George Dewhurst who was sent to Lancaster Castle on a charge of High Treason, 1820.
Any one know of this story ?
George became a well known councillor and died in Queen Street Blackburn in 1857 age 67
His son Hanson married Betty Cross 1831. This is my line.
Any one come across this line ?
