I have been trying to locate the Dewhurst cotton mill for about 6 years, and seeing your email is a dream come true.

My great grandmother Ann Dewhurst immigrated to NZ with her husband Charles Dandy in early 1900. Ann was the youngest daughter of John Dewhurst - possibly a farmer as he was a younger brother. Talk in the family for years was that they were socialites and John was the brother of Lord Dewhurst???. I have never managed to track anything down until now.

I would be eternally greatful if you would be able to fill me in on any other gaps regarding the family tree and the cotton mill.
