Bruce, I was delighted to see your posting on the Dews family, even though it was over 2 years old. I am researching my husband's line and he is also a descendant of George Dews through his daughter, Martha, who married Samuel Smith. His family is still in Jersey Co, IL. There is quite a lot of info on the Dewes family but the Snows are still somewhat of a mystery. Hannah was suppossedly of "gentle birth" and there is some reference to being an Earl's daughter gut the family doubts this. Do you have anything on the Snows? And do you know what ship they came on ? I haven't had any lick with that but there is material that says Hannah came through New Orleans. Melinda Meyer
