Melinda: Your husband and I are cousins!Martha "Patti" Dews and Samuel T. Smith were my ggrandparents. Donald G. Smith was my grandfather. How is your husband related? I traveled to Yorkshire, Eng. last fall and I have much info on our Snow family. Hannah Snow was born at Harewood in 1810 to Richard Snow(b.Sept. 3,1781) and Elizabeth Anne Wray. The Snows were goldsmiths, watchmakers, and linen merchants at Harewood near Leeds. Hannah Snow married George Dews in Harewood Church on Feb 23,1835. Go to harewood.org & look up Harewood Church. Three generations of Snows are buried here, however, I can't find any connection to the Lascelles family who have been Earls of Harewood since 1730's. Would be interested in comparing notes.
