Dear Debi:
Have you looked into the Ebenezer Church Records in Springfield, GA? As you know, many German families came over early in the development of the State of Georgia, including some on the "Anne" I think. You may locate informtion regarding the Gugel Family in their records. Yes, I am looking into the family of Betsey Dews since I am researching the Rice Family, which is one of my families. I would appreciate any information that you could give to me regarding the Dews Family around the late 18th Century and early to mid-19th Century in the Savannah, Georgia area. Some of my family members lived in Springfield, GA and one of them married into one of the families which are connected to the Ebenezer Church. They have a museum there, also. I have emailed a lady a while back about the records. If you would like to email her, I will locate the message no. on the GenForum on which she has put messages. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Carole Melson.
