Dear Suzanne,

Great to hear some news, yes I did know my father died, apparently he lived out near Dubbo somewhere and had a paupers funeral, I don't think many people attended. I only know because my mum's brothers (she has 5) used to be friends with Keith when they were all younger growing up in Thornleigh. Even thought they didn't keep in touch my Uncle Lou Russell made some enquiries for me as he knew I was keen to learn more about the family history ( I couldn't get birth certificates etc without my fathers permission, pretty hard when you don't know where he is!!). Really my best source of information has been through this genealogy site. I have the family tree on Broderbund back to 1700's pretty cool, also photos.

Do you keep in touch with your aunts? Are they a friendly family? When I spoke with Pat's husband also Ron Dews, they said generally the Dews were lovely people, I hope this is true.

Anyway my email address is I have 2 uncles and my very close aunt who live in Canberra, so I try to visit at least once a year.

Look forward to hearing from you
