I was interested to read your message about your family moving to from Glossop to Oldham. It seems that was what my family did too and I wonder if we are related? It is family folklore that Daniel was a great uncle or similar.

My Grandfather was called Walter Dewsnap and was one of several brothers/half brothers the others being Harry, Wilfred and Frank. Walter was born in 1896 d 1961.

My great grandfather was George William Dewsnap (b 1873). George William had a brother called Wilfred Herbert Dewsnap and his father was Luke Berry Dewsnap (m 1872 in St Michaels Church Ashton -u-Lyne).

Does any of this information tie into any of your family history?
