I have been searching for Ethel Dewsnap for some time, finally found her on the 1901 at the home of her grandma HARROP, with her mother Annie Dewsnap, sister Annie and brother Samuel, Samuel was born in South Africa, having a series of lucky breaks with Free BMD, I realised that Samuel was probably the son of J. Daniel Dewsnap, he who helped Winston Churchill to avoid capture. Now my puzzle is, did Daniel's wife and his children return to S.A. or did they stay in England? (Daniel appears not to be on the 1901) I read that the watch which was auctioned came from Daniel's South African Family, maybe he and his wife split up and he remarried. If they did and his wife remarried too it would solve a longstanding and very knotty problem concerning a young lady called Ethel who may have changed her name and then changed it back (too complicated to go in to) Any help very welcome.
