I too found that marriage ref. It is John Daniel's marriage to Ann Harrop, they had children, Ethel, Annie and Samuel. Ann and her children are on the 1901 census with Ann's mother Mary. The reason why I knew to look for JOHN Daniel Dewsnap was because I saw an item about the watch that the said the inscription was to J.Daniel Dewsnap, an Ethel Dewsnap is named as mother on my father-in-law's birth certificate, cannot find the marriage despite years of looking and am wondering if she changed her name before marriage and then decided to change it back when it came to her children's birth certificates, stranger things have happened.
