Other than them being married in Newark, NJ 1832, I have nothing further.Based on the timing, and geography, she is likely a descendant of Theunis Dey, whose family helped settle New Amsterdam (New York City), and NOT likely a descendant of Laurens Duyts, who came from Hollan to Staten Island, and descendants to Monmouth and Middlesex Counties, NJ.
May I suggest the following book, which is an old one:
