Hi Jennifer,

If you would let me know any clues about your original person in Co. Cavan [John Deyell] such as birth year or religion or townland or Parish where he lived, I'll see what I can come up with for you. There was a George DEYELL living on the same townland as my family, back in the mid 1800's. I've seen other DEYELL entries in church registers, either Presbyterian or Church of Ireland. There were, of course, various spellings of that surname used.

What was the name of the original DEYELL immigrant from Co. Cavan, Ireland to Canada?
