John Dice, carriage maker, Portsmouth, OH; born 1844

Seeking descendants of John and Elizabeth Dice of Portsmouth, Ohio. John, a carriage maker, was born 1844 to Bavarian-born parents. Among their children were Louis R., Katharine Dice Doty, Jessie Dice Linck, and Elizabeth L. Dice. Louis Dice moved to NYC and Katharine Dice Doty to Ironton, OH. I have the 1917 probate records for the estate of John's wife Elizabeth and would be happy to forward them to you. I was hoping this Dice family had some connection to my own Dice family of Portsmouth but it appears this is not the case. My gr-grandparents, John and Julia (Rosenmier) Dice, were German immigrants who also settled in Portsmouth. Their children were Mary Dice Gilliland (my grandmother, b. March 6, 1880) and John Dice.

Anyway, if there are any descendants of John and Elizabeth out there let me know and I will send you these probate records.
