Joseph M. Dickason first married Catherine Adair on March 1, 1838, in Deer Creek Township, Madison County, Ohio. They were the parents of Wesley, John W., and Livingston Thomas Dickason. Datherine Adair Dickason died in 1848 in Marion County, Ohio.
On July 1, 1849, Joseph M. Dickason married for a second time; his second wife was Lois Little, the daughter of Lyman Little and Lydia Edwards. Lois was born in Brown Township, Stark County, Ohio, on September 21, 1828, and died about 1865 in Montgomery Township, Marion County, Ohio. They were the parents of eight children. I am a descendant of Joseph Dickason and Lois Little through their son, Isaac N. Dickason.
Electa ("Leeta" in marriage record) Dickason was born November 1, 1870, in Marion County, Ohio, to Joseph Dickason and Nancy Jane Little. The Marion County, Ohio, marriage record (Volume XII) for her marriage to William H. Mack gives her date of birth as November 1, 1870, her parents as Joseph Dickason and Nancy Jane Little, and her place of birth, LaRue, Ohio.
Electa Dickason married Albert Thomasson on October 26, 1889, in Marion County, Ohio, and they had one child, Lloyd Thomasson, born in Marion County, Ohio, in 1891. Albert Thomasson died, probably in Bowling Green Township, Marion County, on June 3, 1894, where he is buried in Fairview Cemetery, probably with his first wife, for he was 75 years old when he married Electa Dickason.
Electa Dickason Thomasson married William H. Mack in Marion County, Ohio, on February 28, 1901, most likely at La Rue, Ohio. They were the parents of a daughter, Mildred Mack, who was born in La Rue, Ohio, in 1903.
Electa is shown as a head of household in Marion County, Ohio, in 1910 in La Rue, Ohio, where she was living with her mother, Nancy Jane (Little) Yoakam, who was born in 1843-1844 and married Charles Yoakam on May 21, 1872, when Electa was a mere 1 1/2 years old.
I am wondering if Electa Dickason might be the illegitimate daughter of Joseph Dickason and Nancy Jane Little, who was the younger sister of Joseph's second wife, Lois. Nancy was also living with the Joseph Dickason family in 1860 and 1870 (Lois died in 1865), and Joseph Dickason married Mary Elenor Carter on June 16, 1870, in Marion County. If Electa was born on November 1, 1870, then Joseph could never have been married to Nancy Jane Little.
