Norma - I think that your great grandfather, Thomas Dickason, was the brother of Harry Dickason. Harry was indeed on Scott's last Antarctic expedition.
There were 5 brothers in all - Harry, Charles, William, Thomas and Walter. William (my great grandfather) married Rosa Munt in Battersea in 1894.
