Lynda - The Harry James Dickason, who was the brother of William Robert was born at Christmas Cottage Gillingham on 8 November 1863. There are some questions as to whether Harry James is the Harry of the Northern Party.

Petty Officer Harry Dickason who went with Scott to Antarctica is shown by the MOD as joining the navy as a Boy 2nd Class, Official No 209527, on 23 April 1900. He was lent to the British Antarctic Expedition (1910 to 1913). Chief Petty Officer Dickason was pensioned from the Navy on 18 December 1924 and died in 1943.

If anyone can assist with further information to confirm the identity of Harry Dickason it would be greatly appreciated.

Regards - Simon
