I am not a Dickensheets, and know very little about their history, but there has been some talk that my great grandfather descended - illegitimately - from the Southern California Dickensheets. My family is very touchy about this subject, so I am not planning to actively search for info on this family link, but I am interested in some history. Do you know any of the history before William - his parents, & greats? I would hate to upset anyone by this news being announced, as I am not sure that it is the truth (There are supposably two men my great grandfather could have descended from). I hope this reunion is one you are enjoying. How is your mother taking it? I know my mother wasn't very thrilled when I began conversing with my biological father after a long stretch. Do you have siblings? Sorry for the many questions, I am extrememly curious how others faced their reunions. My father had 5 children other than I, and it was great fun - although scary - to meet them all.
