Although I've discovered that I'm not related to the Dickensheets line, I'm now intrigued and want to learn more. I've found records that indicate that Samual is William's father, but the tricky part is this - SSDI indicates a Samual Dickensheets born in 1904 in Missouri, died in 1992 in Kern County, which seems fitting. Samual would have been 17 when William was born, so it works. But I've also found records indicating a Samual Lincoln born in 1863 in Monroe, Michigan, which would mean that he was 42 when William was born. Still works. Do you know which Samual I should be researching here? I'm wanting to think it's the second Samual - born to John Harrison D. and Angeline Stites or Thacker. This Samual was married to a Cora Babbitt in 1886.
