I live in Plymouth, Ma. USA and have been tracing my family tree. My great(8) grandfather shows up in Winthrop Maine around 1790, the first US Census. He owned a farm and according to the Winthrop Maine town history, he was born in 1740 in England. I have no idea where in England, although I suspect it was in the Sussex area. I also have no idea, how or why he emigrated to the colonies.
All that to say Sarah and William may have been siblings.
My sister has the documentation at the moment but I'll take another look to see if there is any more useful info for us.
