Hello Irene. Although I am not related to this family, I may be able to help. I believe Frederick John DICKER (born 1879) died at Ypres in 1917. He was the first child of at least nine born to John DICKER and his wife Mary Ann, nee SAUNDERS (married Wonersh, Surrey, 1878). After Frederick's death, his widow Susan may have remarried in 1920 at Lambeth. I can provide more detail on any of the above if this is of interest to you. In several years of running a DICKER one-name study, I have corresponded with only one person directly connected with this line (connected via Richard James, a brother of Frederick James). However, there are others who have researched this family with connections to earlier generations. Again, if you are interested I can send details, but I will need to clear it with them first. I look forward to hearing from you.
All best wishes, Martin G. Baxter, Deal, Kent, U.K.
