1850 New York City Census
William Dickers Rigger b1824 England
Ellen Dickers Wife b1830 New York
(possibly with Ellen's mother Bridget McCormick b1800 IRE)

1860 New York City Census
William Dickers Rigger b1827 England
Catherine Dickers Wife b1837 IRE (definateley born Beechinor)
Joseph Dickers Son b1856 New York

Thought that the son's name Joseph along with William might be something to go on?

Have tried to find out about William's origins in England and his possible arrival in New York - have got one possible shipping manifest but not convinced.
