Hello Jacquie from Australia.

This is probably a long shot but my grandfather's mother was Elizabeth or Eliza Dicker. Her father was David Dicker and I wonder if David was a sibling of Edward ? (My David Dicker married a Caroline Reeves.) My grandfather was from Pangbourne England which is about 20 miles from Swallowfield Berkshire. His mother was born in 1867 in Whitchurch which is also near Swallowfield and Pangbourne. She married Abendego (Ben) Gutteridge on 12 December 1885. While a common name for the time, my grandfather's middle name was Edward. It was quite common then to name children after their parents thus adding to our confusing in sorting out family information today.

As my research progresses I'll let you know if there is any connection.

From California, USA Lee Jackson
