Hi, Chris - thank you for the information about the Dicker area of Sussex. It's certainly one source of the name. I can give you some information about Charles. He died in 1927 at New Malden, Surrey, aged 65 - there is an administration in his name, but unfortunately not a will. Admin was to his wife Lucy Elizabeth Dicker. She died in the March quarter of 1944 aged 78 in the Surrey N.E. district. I have no other details. Do you have the marriage certificate of Charles (1893) - I presume you have from the info you sent. If his father is named as George Dicker, then I have some more information for you from the censuses. I suggest we correspond via our own e-mail - my address is martinbaxter@ic24.net please do get in touch - I look forward to hearing from you. If you have any other details at all, please let me know - it all helps to locate more information. Good luck with your searches. Martin.
