Here is a brief genealogy.If you want more detail, I will have to do it in "installments" as it would take forever to type it all at once.Let me know the amount of detail you want.
The Starr and Dickerman families are connected through the marriage of Isaac Foote 1672 and Rebecca Dickerman 1679.Their daughter Hannah Foote 1712 m. Philemon Robbins 1709.Their daughter Sarah 1749 m. Peter Starr 1744.
Sarah Robbins was b. 11 Jan. 1749 at Branford, CT. d. 17 July 1809 of consumption.She m. 24 Dec. 1772, Rev. Peter Starr, son of Samuel and Abigail (Dibble) Starr (Josiah, Thomas, Comfort), b. Sept 1744 at Ridgefield CT. d. 17 July 1829.
Rev. Peter Starr was graduated at Yale College 1764 and was a member of the Yale Corporation, 1813-1818.He taught school three years after his graduation; studied theology with Rev. Daniel Brinsmade and Rev. Joseph Bellamy; commenced to preach at Warren CT 1771, was ordained there March 13, 1772, and continued in that pastorate 57 years, till his death.In 1794, he performed missionary service in Vermont, according toa good custom of those times, which often led a prominent minister to leave his parish for a period to devote himself to helpful service on the frontier.He. m. #2) 24 Oct 1810, Phebe Warner, widow of Rev. John Stevens, who d. 3 March 1832.All children are by his first wife.
