Hi! Do you have information on a GErman-born Frederick Dickmann married to an American woman whose last name was something like Del Noss? They lived in Marion County, Iowa in the 1840s or so and then moved to Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa in the 1850s.

One of their children, my gg grandmother, Elizabeth Dickman, married John H. Cody in the 1850s. He was murdered in Kansas by Quantrill's men. She returned to Iowa City, IA to raise her three small sons. She later married a man named Johnson and moved in the 1880s to western Kansas, where she died and is buried.

I have her obituary and death certificate. I hope you can help.

Regards,

Cathie Cody
