Thanks for the information from the 1870 census David.
Malichi Dicus was in Bosque County Texas when the 1880 census was taken. No indications of an Emma in their household at that time. Apparently Emma has died(?).
Is it possible that Tennesse and Stacey A. Dicus were one and the same? Ages given in the census records are notorious for being inaccurate. Just look at the 1860 census where Malichi is repored to be 35 y/o. In the 1870 census his age is given as 42 y/o. According to the census of 1870 he has only aged seven years in that ten year period. So Stacey Dicus of the 1870 census, 18 y/o could be "Tennesee" Dicus 13 y/o of the 1860 census. If Stacy is not Tennessee, where was Stacy in the 1860 census? She would have been about 8 y/o in 1860 if her age is correct in 1870.
