Polly Longest Dicus died in Crawford CO., IN 1 Dec 1848, after the birth of her one and only child; Louis J. Dicus b. 28 Nov 1848 Crawford Co., IN. She had consumption. She married John Dicus in Crawford Co., IN 12 Nov 1846. There was evidently a Polly Longest who married a James Dicus and was in TN. They are not the same Polly's.

Believe the John Dicus b. 1825 in TN, was possibly the son of William Dicus, who was on the 1830 Census of Smith Co., TN. Sabrina Gregory who is supposedly John Dicus's mother was from Smith Co., TN, and she supposedly had four children: John, Mafly, Catherine and Phereba. She is supposed to have to gone to Crawford Co., IN with other Gregory family members with the four children. Sabrina died in Crawford Co., IN in 1849.

I believe it is possible that William Dicus is connected to Oze Dicus who was in TN, and was the father of James Dicus who married Polly C. Longest in TN, but don't have any proof, just a possible feeling.
