Fergus Falls Daily Journal 11/7/1949 - "B. Dieckman Resident Of Foxhome, Dies - Prominent Resident Died Sunday - Funeral Services Will Be Held Tuesday - Boye Dieckman, a resident of Andrea township, near Foxhome since 1926, died Sunday, Nov. 6, at St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge at the age of 63 years. He would have been 64 had he live one more month.

Mr. Dieckman was born at Titonka, Iowa, Dec. 4, 1885, and grew to manhood in that vicinity. Following his marriage to Minnie Schmidt at La Crosse, Wis., in 1909 he continued to reside in Iowa operating a farm. In 1926 he and Mrs. Dieckman moved to the Foxhome community where they have since resided.

Mr. Dieckman was very active in civic and township affairs and was well known not only in Foxhome and vicinity, but also in Breckenridge and Wahpeton. Left to mourn his death are his wife, one foster son, John Doden of Breckenridge, and one daughter, Mrs. Ella Christensen of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Emma, who died at the age of eight years in 1918.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 10 a.m. at the Jos Vertin & Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge and the remains will then be taken to Buffalo Center, Iowa, where services will be held Nov. 9, at the Schutter Funeral Home at 2 p.m. The Rev. P.A. Gisvold will conduct the service in Breckenridge."
