Hello again,

I just read your second posting. The little girl in the Diehl photo was Ruthella. I actually heard from her sister, who is still living in Ohio. Maybe she could help you with the Diehl line. I still have her phone message on my cell phone. She called to thank me for sending the photo of her sister, and I just haven't had the chance to call her back.
Please e-mail me and I can hopefully put you in touch with her. She sounded like a very sweet lady. Forgot to say that my husband's Armstrong came from Scotland into northwest England about 1829, and lived in Cumberland County, now Cumbria, in England until the 1880s and 1890s, when three Armstrong brothers came to Canada and then to America. One settled in Illinois, one in Colorado, and my husband's grandfather in Pennsylvania in Wilkes-Barre.

Nancy Armstrong
