As a follow-up to my message earlier today, I have the following informatio:
My Grandmother was Madeline Telfer (nee Luff), the Daughter of Harry Luff and Mary Diehm. Mary was born in New York in 1859, and died in Brooklyn Dec. 1919. Mary's parents were Simon Peter Diehm (born abt. 1826 in Germany, died May 1880 in New York) and Rosina ___ (maiden name unknown - born abt. 1827 in Germany, died Nov. 1883 in Brooklyn. Simon purchased a family grave plot (6 graves each can bury 6 people)in the Lutheran cemetary in Middle Village that Simon, Mary and Madeline are all buried in, along with other family members. My cousin has the priginal deed to the grave plots. Mary had a brother (son of Simon Peter) named William F. Diehm (born 1868); I don't have any information on what happened to "Uncle Willie".
That's all the information I have on the Diehm family. I hope you can fill me in on more.
